Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about HUAYU aluminum electrolytic capacitors — products, services, and how to get started
We are a manufacturer. Nantong Huayu Electronics Co., Ltd. has been manufacturing aluminum electrolytic capacitors since 1987 at our factory in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, China. We own our production lines and quality control facilities.
We were founded in 1987 — over 39 years of continuous manufacturing experience in aluminum electrolytic capacitors. What started as a small workshop has grown into a professional manufacturer serving customers in 50+ countries.
Our factory is located at No. 60 Zhangchuan Road, Zhangzhishan Town, Tongzhou District, Nantong, Jiangsu Province, China. We welcome factory visits by appointment.
Our quality system follows ISO 9001 principles. Products are CE certified and comply with RoHS and REACH directives. We perform 100% final testing on every capacitor and maintain full batch traceability from raw materials through production to shipment.
We specialize in large-can aluminum electrolytic capacitors with two terminal types: Snap-in (22φ–40φ, 8 series) for compact PCB/chassis mounting, and Screw terminal (35φ–100φ, 9 series) for high-power bolted connections. We also produce high ripple current, long life, and application-optimized variants.
Our standard product range covers 6.3V to 500V DC rated voltage and 47μF to 100,000μF capacitance across 17 product series. Custom voltage and capacitance values are available upon request.
Snap-in capacitors have pins that snap into PCB holes — ideal for automated assembly, compact designs, and moderate power applications. Screw terminal capacitors use bolted connections for high-current capability and mechanical reliability in heavy-duty industrial applications. For detailed comparison, see our Snap-in vs Screw Terminal guide.
Our capacitors are used in UPS systems, solar/wind inverters, frequency converters (VFDs), industrial power supplies, inverter welding machines, servo drives, energy storage systems, EV chargers, medical power systems, and railway power electronics. Essentially, wherever high-reliability large-can capacitors are needed in industrial power electronics.
Yes. Our CD13NH, CD13HL, CD295 and several other series are specifically engineered for high ripple current applications. These series use low-ESR electrolyte and optimized internal construction to minimize self-heating. See our High Ripple Current page.
Yes. We offer multiple long life series rated at 105°C with 3000h to 5000h+ endurance. With proper derating (e.g., operating at 65°C instead of 105°C), our capacitors can achieve 10+ year operational lifetimes. See our Long Life Capacitors page.
Yes — this is our core strength. We specialize in non-standard, custom-designed capacitors. We can adjust capacitance, voltage, case dimensions, terminal configurations, ripple current ratings, and lifetime specifications to your exact requirements. Over 500 custom specifications have been successfully delivered.
Yes, we provide full OEM (your brand on our products) and ODM (we design to your specifications) services. Capacitors can be manufactured with your brand marking, custom sleeve printing, and your packaging. We support many international distributors and equipment manufacturers through OEM/ODM programs.
For custom capacitor quotations, please provide: rated voltage, capacitance value, case size constraints (diameter × height), terminal type, ripple current requirement, operating temperature, expected lifetime, application type, and estimated annual quantity. A datasheet or existing part number is also helpful.
Yes. We can provide possible alternative solutions for Nichicon, Rubycon, Panasonic, EPCOS/TDK, Nippon Chemi-Con, Vishay, and Cornell Dubilier large-can aluminum electrolytic capacitors. Send us the brand and part number for engineering cross-reference. Final selection must be confirmed through evaluation and testing.
You can request a quotation through our Contact page, by emailing [email protected], or via WhatsApp at +86-18912241508. Include your required specifications for an accurate quote.
Standard MOQ is 100–500 pieces depending on the product series. For custom specifications, MOQ is negotiable based on design complexity. Sample orders of 5–20 pieces are available for evaluation and qualification testing.
We accept T/T (wire transfer), L/C (letter of credit), and for established customers, negotiated payment terms. Standard terms: 30% deposit with 70% before shipment, or 100% T/T in advance for smaller orders.
We ship via air freight, sea freight, or international express (DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT) depending on order size and urgency. We export to 50+ countries across Asia, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa. Express samples typically arrive in 3–7 business days.
Standard lead time is 15–30 days for standard products, and 25–45 days for custom specifications. Sample orders can ship within 5–7 business days. Major brands often quote 16–24 weeks — HUAYU is typically much faster. Rush orders are sometimes possible — please discuss your timeline with our team.
Yes. We encourage sample evaluation before bulk orders. Standard samples can be shipped within 5–7 business days. Both free and paid sample options are available depending on the product and quantity requested. Contact us with your sample requirements.
Major brands often have 16–24 week lead times. HUAYU Electronic offers reliable, industrial-grade aluminum electrolytic capacitor alternatives with a standard lead time of only 15–30 days (custom 25–45 days), helping you avoid supply chain disruptions on UPS, inverter, VFD, and industrial power supply projects. See our Cross Reference guide.
Yes. Brands like HUAYU Electronic design capacitors specifically for industrial environments, featuring high ripple current resistance and up to 5,000–10,000 hours of lifespan at 105°C, making them excellent cost-effective substitutes for premium brands — subject to engineering confirmation and application testing. HUAYU has manufactured large-can capacitors in Nantong, China since 1987, with 100% final testing and batch traceability.
Use our HTML cross-reference tables for Nichicon, Nippon Chemi-Con, Rubycon, Panasonic, EPCOS/TDK, Vishay, and Cornell Dubilier. Tables are text (not images) with PDF datasheet links. Send the original part number for an engineering review within 24–48 hours. Series mappings are possible alternatives, not identical drop-in claims.
For industrial power supplies and inverters, engineers often evaluate CD292 / CD293 / CD294 (snap-in) and CD13N / CD13L / CD13HL / CD13NH (screw terminal) as possible alternatives to major Japanese large-can series. Always confirm electrical and mechanical fit with our engineering team and download the series PDF datasheet.
